McCollough Returns, Voacolo Signs
The Lancaster Stormers have inked right-handed pitchers Luke McCollough and Ronnie Voacolo, it was announced today by manager Ross Peeples.
With the signings, the Stormers now have nine players under contract for the upcoming Atlantic League season as the team looks to reach the playoffs for the fifth consecutive year.
McCollough, 25, joined the Stormers in the second half of the 2025 campaign and went 0-4 with a 5.63 ERA over 11 starts and one long relief appearance. The Coronado, California native worked at least four innings in all by one of his 12 appearances, including a four-inning shutout stint against High Point on July 28.
Earlier in 2025, the right-hander completed his collegiate career at Villanova, posting a 5-2 record with a 4.06 ERA. It was his second year with the Wildcats. Prior to his time at Villanova, McCollough pitched for Xavier and Utah Valley.
“Luke came in last year and held his own for being a young kid in his first year,” said Peeples. “We are looking forward to seeing his growth in the starter’s role this season.”
Voacolo, 26, has spent the past four seasons pitching for the Sussex County Miners of the Frontier League. The native of Hamilton, New Jersey was 0-4 with four saves in 74 career appearances for the Miners while compiling a 4.22 ERA. Voacolo struck out 111 while walking only 32 in 89.2 innings with Sussex County.
The right-hander was an ace at Southeastern College of Lakeland, Florida, one of the country’s premier NAIA programs. He was 8-0 with a 3.18 ERA in three years with the Fire. During his college career, he walked only 17 and struck out 82 in 70.2 innings.
“Ronnie has a live arm and was recommended to us by a former player,” said Peeples. “He has had success in his career. We will have him in our bullpen and are excited to see what he can do in our league.”
The Stormers open the season at York on April 21, then lift the curtain on the 21st season of baseball at Penn Medicine Park on Friday, April 24 with a 6:45 start against the Long Island Ducks.
