NATIONALS PURCHASE SULLIVAN CONTRACT

The Washington Nationals have purchased the contract of right-handed relief pitcher Billy Sullivan, it has been announced today by the Atlantic League.

The Delaware native was in his second season with the Stormers.  He had gone 0-1 with three saves and a 5.40 ERA in nine appearances, striking out 10 while allowing only five hits.

In 2025, Sullivan was 2-2 with one save and a 3.78 ERA in 33.1 innings of work.

Prior to coming to Lancaster, Sullivan had pitched in the Philadelphia, Oakland and San Francisco farm systems, reaching Class AAA with the A’s in 2023 and 2024.

He also pitched for the University of Delaware for two seasons.

“Billy has been focused and working hard for his last year here,” said Lancaster manager Ross Peeples.  “He’s been trying to get healthy and show what he can do.  He’s done everything we have asked of him and has taken the ball when called.”

In other recent news, former Lancaster left-hander Max Green has been signed by the New York Mets from the Jalisco club of the Mexican League.  Green will reports to Class AA Binghamton.
