Stormers Remain on Award Roll

Left-handed pitcher Quinton Martinez was named the Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week, it was announced today by league officials.

It marks the third consecutive week that either a Lancaster pitcher or position player has been honored by the league.

Martinez garnered the award by tossing three-hit shutout baseball on Saturday evening against the heavy hitting Long Island Ducks.  He walked three and struck out eight over his seven innings of work.

That effort gave him 16 consecutive shutout innings since yielding consecutive solo homers at Staten Island on May 19.  He currently leads the Atlantic League in ERA (2.25) and hits allowed per nine innings (6.00).  The native of Orlando is 4-1 on the season.

Luke Albright was named the Pitcher of the Week for the week ending May 17, and Jake Thompson was the Player of the Week for the period ending May 24.
