Community Man and Player of the Year Named

COMMUNITY MAN OF THE YEAR – Devon Torrence.  Our Community Man of the Year was always the first to sign up to help with any on, or off-field event.  His contributions to the cause during Mental Health Awareness Month went above and beyond the call of duty.  He has been an inspiration to this ballclub and the front office, representing himself, his faith and his beloved The Ohio State University in a positive light.  Our Community Man of the Year for 2019, as selected by the Barnstormers front office – Devon Torrence.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR – Caleb Gindl.  Our 2019 Barnstormers Player of the Year has had a tremendous overall season.  In his third year as a Barnstormer, this former Milwaukee Brewer has kept his average around .300.  He has belted 22 home runs, 29 doubles and three triples while driving in a club-leading 87 runs.  He is among the league leaders in on-base percentage, slugging percentage and OPS.  On top of that, he has become the first player to throw out a batter at first base on a 9-3 ground out, had a rare 7-3 assist and made five scoreless appearances off the mound here in the second half of the season.  The 2019 Player of the Year, voted on by you fans, is right fielder (and pitcher) Caleb Gindl.
