BARNSTORMERS ANNOUNCE 2020 SCHEDULE

The Lancaster Barnstormers’ return to their winning ways, and hunt for their 3rd Atlantic League Championship, will begin on Friday, May 1st as the 2020 Atlantic League schedule was released today by league officials.

Lancaster’s 16th season will get underway on the road against the defending league champion Long Island Ducks, with the first game at Clipper Magazine Stadium taking place on Friday, May 8th. The upcoming campaign will feature 126 games, with 72 being at Clipper Magazine Stadium.  Once again, this season will be presented by Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

In 2020, the Road Warriors will be making their return to the Atlantic League as the New Britain Bees have switched affiliations to the Futures League, a college summer circuit. The travel squad was last utilized in 2018 before the High Point Rockers joined the ALPB. Lancaster will host the Road Warriors for 19 games on the season, including in the only doubleheader scheduled for Lancaster, a day-night affair on Wednesday, May 20.

Clipper Magazine Stadium will host baseball and fun for all ages at the stadium on 12 different weekends throughout the course of the season, including the July 4th weekend featuring an exciting fireworks display! The ‘Stormers will also be at home for Mother’s Day (May 10th) against Long Island and Labor Day Weekend against the archrival York Revolution.

The Barnstormers have slated three weekday games. Baseball In Education Day is on tap for the front half of the May 20th twinbill, Senior Day is set for June 10th, and Camp Day on June 25th! These days will include an array of activities and entertainment for kids and seniors!

Lancaster will close out the first half of the season against the High Point Rockers at home on July 9th, with the second half concluding on September 20th against the Somerset Patriots at TD Bank Ballpark. The Barnstormers are looking for a bounce back season with high hopes to return the ALPB Playoffs!
