On Friday evening, April 28, the Lancaster Barnstormers will host a Beatles tribute as a portion of the Opening Night ceremonies to kick off the 13th season of baseball at Clipper Magazine Stadium presented by Doceo Office Solutions, Lancaster General Health, Penn Medicine and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia..

Billed as a night to “Come Together,” after one of the Fab Four’s storied hit singles, the night of festivities will begin with a concert performance by cover band Relive the Beatles, who will also play during the inning breaks.  There will also be Beatles trivia throughout the evening.  One of the nation’s top Ringo Starr impersonators will be on hand to drum up some additional excitement.

Even prior to the opening of the gates, fans can “Twist and Shout” outside the stadium as local band, the Burli-Q’s, will be performing Beatles standards in front of the stadium entrance.

Tie-dyed t-shirts will be given away to the first 1,000 fans 16 and over coming through the gates that evening and the first 1,000 kids 12 and under will receive a FREE pass to Dutch Wonderland!

Gates for this night to “Get Back” into baseball will open at 5:15 PM with the Barnstormers home opener against the Sugar Land Skeeters getting underway at 6:30. It will mark the first of the 70 home games for the Barnstormers on their 2017 schedule.

A special Opening Night fireworks extravaganza will cap off the evening’s entertainment.
