Barnstormers to Hand Out 1,000 Powerball Tickets Tonight

The Lancaster Barnstormers are playing two games on Wednesday evening, but, for the fans in attendance, the biggest game of all might come at the end of the night.

In conjunction with the PA Lottery, the Barnstormers will purchase Powerball tickets with randomly generated numbers and hand them out at the gate to the first 1,000 fans 18 and older attending the Barnstormers doubleheader against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs on Wednesday evening.

As the top prize for the lottery is 700 million dollars, all game tickets purchased at the gate for Wednesday’s doubleheader, consisting of two seven-inning games, will be $7.00.

The drawing will be held at 10:59, and the Barnstormers are making arrangements to broadcast it on the video board in left center field, should the doubleheader still be in progress.

“This could be an enormous night for one lucky fan,” said general manager Mike Reynolds. “We are looking forward to the Barnstormers, and one of our patrons, to win big tonight.”

In addition, fans can enjoy $2 domestic drafts from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Gates will open at 5:30 with the first pitch scheduled for 6:30.
