BARNSTORMERS, SKEETERS RAINED OUT

Teams to Play Two Thursday Evening

Heavy thunderstorms hit Sugar Land, Texas around 4:00 in the afternoon and subsequent rains were expected to continue late into the evening, forcing the postponement of Wednesday’s scheduled game between the Lancaster Barnstormers and Sugar Land Skeeters at Constellation Field.

The two teams will make up the game as part of a doubleheader Thursday, August 18 at 7:05 EDT. Lancaster will send right-hander Joey Maher (0-0) and lefty Kelvin De La Cruz (6-3, 9-9) to the mound against left-hander Aaron Thompson (7-3) and right-hander Sean Gallagher (7-7). Both games will be seven innings.

Fans may tune into the Barnstormers YouTube Channel, beginning at 6:45 EDT.

Wednesday’s rainout is the first in five seasons in Texas for the ‘Stormers.
