Club to Celebrate 15 Days Leading Up To 15th Season Opener
As a part of the 15th Anniversary Season of Barnstormers baseball, the ballclub has a 15-day series of events leading up to Opening Night on April 26.
Several events around the community are scheduled to involve Barnstormers’ front office members, players and the lovable mascot, Cylo.
Here are the major events in store:
- On Friday, April 12, the Barnstormers will be highly involved right in their own backyard as their neighbors at Penn Stone holds an Open House.
- The following day, April 13, the Barnstormers will host through their website a “Where’s Cylo?” Scavenger Hunt.
- Sunday, April 14, Springfest will be hosted at Clipper Magazine Stadium complete with Bounce Houses and an Easter Egg Hunts for different age groups.
- April 15 & 16, the Barnstormers squad will be gathering at The Station House and then the Lancaster Hotel. Keep your eye out around the community as players will be popping up on the to play catch!
- Over the following three days, players and Cylo will be in select spots around the area to pass out samples of Turkey Hill drinks and ice cream plus BOGO tickets to Opening Day.
- April 20 is slated for Fan Fest complete with a game at 1:00 PM, and the following day Cylo will be hosting an online coloring contest.
- There may also be some hijinx in store as the Barnstormers get ready for another year-long battle against the York Revolution. Watch out for some possible pranks as the Atlantic League’s biggest rivalry heats up for 2019.
- On Tuesday night, April 23, Barnstormers players are slated to appear as special guests to area Little League teams.
- Keep an eye out for staff on Prince Street as April 24 will be Honk for Opening Day!
- Finally, on Thursday, April 25, Mayor Sorace will make her proclamation to “Rock the L” from the steps of City Hall at 11:30. The season will then officially be ready to begin the following night when the Barnstormers host the brand new High Point Rockers at 7:00 at Clipper Magazine Stadium.
