Lancaster baseball fans will have four opportunities to catch the 2018 Barnstormers in action prior to the Atlantic League regular season on April 26, it was announced today.
The Barnstormersâ spring training schedule has four home dates on it, including the annual Fan Fest at Clipper Magazine Stadium on Saturday, April 21.
Prior to Fan Fest on Saturday, April 21st Clipper Magazine Stadium will play host to the Community Services Groupâs âBe the Difference 5K Run/Walkâ to support mental health first aid beginning at 8:00 AM.
Following the 5K Barnstormers fans will be admitted for free, beginning at noon. They will have an opportunity to meet the 14th edition of the âStormers on the field in a pre-game autograph session and also have a game of catch on the field presented by Dominoâs.
There will be face painters and balloon artists as well as manicures from the Lancaster School of Cosmetology on the concourse throughout the day. Hot dogs will be just $1.00 at the dayâs event presented by Berks.
Meanwhile, Fun 101.3-FM, WROZ, will be giving away prizes, including two tickets to an upcoming Harry Styles Concert in Hershey.
The day will also be educational. The Brain Injury Association of PA, Lebanon Valley College, and Lancaster General Health are presenting a Brain Injury Fair that afternoon. Information on brain function, âfreeâ bike helmet and helmet decorating stations will be available.  Fans can learn how helmets may be used in all types of different sports. Health professionals and area college students will be on hand to provide additional information on one of todayâs most important topics in sports health.
The Barnstormers will take on the Black Sox traveling baseball team in a spring training game beginning at 1:00 PM. Following the game kids will be invited to run the bases for the first time that spring and earn a free kids pizza, courtesy of Dominoâs.
In addition to the game on April 21st the Barnstormers will also play a home spring training game against the York Revolution on Thursday, April 19th and the Black Sox again on Friday, the 20th.  On Monday, April 23rd, the Barnstormers will play their annual game against Lancaster Bible College.
All games will start at 1:00 PM, except for the Monday contest against LBC, which will begin at 5:00 PM. Admission is free to all games.
